Physiotherapists operating in private practice are qualified first-contact practitioners who can independently assess, diagnose, and manage musculoskeletal conditions without a referral. You can either book online, call 1300 546 969, or send email to bookings@kinzophysio.com.au.

If you do have a referral from your doctor and other allied health professionals and would like to speak to us before booking, please do not hesitate to call or email. We are also happy to accept referrals (Medicare, Workcover, CTP motor vehicle accident insurance) and liaise with appropriate case managers of these respective agencies.

Initial physio consult – 45 minutes   $115

Your first appointment involves the physiotherapist conducting a comprehensive assessment of your condition and developing a customized treatment plan in view of your health goals and addressing specific injuries or symptoms. Prior to attending your initial appointment, please fill in the online admission form which would be sent to your email prior to the appointment date.

Follow-up physio consult – 30 minutes   $90

This appointment is booked at end of your initial appointment. In the follow-up session, the focus is on re-assessment of your progress, refining your treatment plan where appropriate, through hands on therapy, prescribed clinical exercises and movement therapy, in aim to improve function and recovery from injury.

Long follow-up physio consult – 60 minutes   $160

Long follow-up consultation is suitable where the nature of your condition is complex and requires extended care, and/or the physiotherapist requires to focus on two or more body areas with hands on treatment.

WorkCover QLD and CTP insurance physio consult – 45 minutes

There is no out-of-pocket expenses for WorkCover and accident insurance CTP claims. However, you will need to supply Kinzo Physiotherapy with your approval paperwork (including current medical certificate that is within dates of the claim from your general practitioner) and approved claim number.

Medicare Australia Chronic Disease Management Plans – 30 minutes

A referral care plan issued from your general practitioner (GP) is required for Chronic Disease Management consultations. Please bring hardcopies of your GP Management Plan documents to your first appointment. We are unable to take any responsibility for your GP clinic failing to provide us with your documents (by email, fax, or post) in advance of your initial appointment.  

Billing: you will be asked to pay a gap fee payment of $28.20 on the day of consult whilst Kinzo Physiotherapy can process the Medicare rebate through its HICAPS terminal. Your out-of-pocket fee is calculated by subtracting the Medicare rebate from the cost of 30-minute consult. The current Medicare rebate is $61.80. As such, gap fee payment you pay would be $90 minus $61.80 which equals to $28.20. Please note if you use the chronic disease management plan, you will not be able to claim private health insurance for the same consultation.

Private health insurance

You can claim private health insurance rebates for our physiotherapy services if you are appropriately covered at time of consult. Please check with your private health provider if you have the appropriate level of cover for physiotherapy, and how much you eligible for cover. Initial consultations are assigned HICAPS code 500, follow up consultations are assigned with code 505, and long consultation with code 506.

DVA cardholders – 30 minutes

Kinzo Physiotherapy is happy to provide physiotherapy services to clients who hold a DVA card. There are no out-of-pocket expenses for receiving consultation at our practice. For all holders of either DVA White card or DVA Gold card, to receive DVA subsidised physiotherapy services, you will require a current referral from your general practitioner (GP) on a DVA approved form. It is important to present this form on your first appointment, along with a valid DVA White or Gold card, and valid ID confirming your full name and date of birth.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you are unable to attend your appointment please provide us at least 24 hours’ notice of non-attendance, otherwise a fee will be charged. If your appointment is scheduled on a Monday, please cancel by Sunday. Cancellations outside of the 24-hour period will be charged the full session fee unless we are able to fill the spot from the waitlist.
